Custom Direct-to-Garment Printing

The Hive Printing is a Vancouver based company specializing in Direct-to-Garment printing. Direct-to-garment printing, also known as DTG, is form of digital printing for textiles.

Direct-to-Garment printing uses a special inkjet printer to transfer your image file to your clothing or garments. We convert your artwork into a .png file, and then print your image onto the garment using fabric inks.

Direct-to-garment printing is perfect for single, or small print runs. It also works great for designs that are colourful or contain photos and/or images. We'd love to learn more about your project. Contact us today!

Perfect for small orders

Direct-to-Garment printing is excellent for projects with small quantities or many colours not suitable for screen printing or embroidery

Minimal set-up time

The main advantage of DTG is that there is almost no set-up time, making it perfect for orders under a tight turnaround.

Increased colour options

Direct-to-Garment printing can also print continuous gradations, where screen printing relies on spot colours and halftones.

Direct-to-Garment printing has several benefits:

  • Minimal set-up time
The main advantage of DTG is that there is almost no set-up time.

  • Perfect for small orders
Direct-to-Garment printing is excellent for projects with very small quantities or many colours which are not suitable for screen printing.

  • Increased colour options
Direct-to-Garment printing can also print continuous gradations, where screen printing relies on spot colours and halftones.

DTG inks are also quite expensive, so while it may be the only option for printing some kinds of artwork, it may not always be the most economical.

Direct-to-Garment printing does have some limitations. We recommend using fabrics with a high cotton content and we do have some size restrictions.

For the best results, we recommend printing on white, or near white 100% cotton materials
